The cabin, "Pirtti," was relocated to Lapiosalmi in 1979 from Voho Kaira, southwest of Korouoma, where it originally served as a logging cabin.
The exterior of the logging cabin now houses accommodations for 12 people. There are two chambers in the cabin, each with bunk beds for six occupants. Additionally, the building includes a Pirttisali, which can be used for lectures and teaching purposes.
Features of the cabin include:
Two six-person bedrooms with bunk beds
Separate shower and toilet facilities for men and women
Pirttisali, which can accommodate 81 people and is suitable for meetings or educational purposes
Pets are not allowed in the cabin.
